IBABC got the industry golf season underway again this year with the Jack Hamilton Memorial Classic at Northview Golf and Country Club in Surrey May 6. Winter hadn’t quite let go its hold and it was a blustery day, but a full field of players just put on an extra layer and got out there for some golf and a great buffet dinner afterward.

Andrew Merritt was the low-net non-broker and Peter Meegan was the low-net broker. Verne Dion was low-gross non-broker, and Ed Richmond was the low-grossing broker. Gary Law took overall low net. Jasper Bains, Sal Audia, James Clay and Martin Goodger were the first-place team. Ian Shaw, Tony Davis, Blair Benoit and Brody Stonehouse were the runners-up. Marti Messam took the low-net ladies’ trophy and Catherine Yole took the ladies’ low gross award.

Scott Terry and Evelyn Corbett hit the longest drives; Chris Fong and Catherine Yole hit the straightest. Scott Terry, Mike Jobson, Diven Yeung and Greg Thompson were closest to the pin. Glenda Ouelette, Jaclyn Jacquard and Mary Dohod won KP prizes by random draw.

Several industry friends sponsored holes and contributed prizes. The grand prizes raised about $1,600 for the J.F. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Fund.
