Westland Insurance Broker Ltd is growing their team and is looking for a Commercial Insurance Advisor to be based at our South Surrey, BC - Head Office. This is an exciting position that will foster valued relationships with existing and potential commercial clients.  This position will deliver the highest level of customer service. The Opportunity:


Do you love selling commercial lines? Are you someone who delivers superior value by maintaining regular contact with all valued clients? If so, you are exactly who we are looking for!

  • Account management of larger commercial clients. Develop, maintain and grow the portfolio
  • Drive revenue within territory meeting exceeding established quota
  • Selling complex solutions that include leveraging all aspects of the insurance product lines
  • Building relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors in order to maximize Westland's brand, image, and competitiveness
  • Enhance valued relationships with existing clients
  • Conduct presentations and interactive engagements with customers in support of targeted sales activities
  • Build account strategies and plans that articulate the approach for securing existing and new business.

 

Here’s what you bring:

 

  • High school graduate with some post-secondary
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of Commercial Insurance, Personal Lines experience would be an asset.
  • Insurance Broker level 1 license
  • Proven experience working in a sales quota driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, an active listener
  • Ability to explain complex information in a simple manner
  • A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion are important qualities
  • Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
