Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing their team and has a newly created position as Commercial Account Manager based at our South Surrey Head Office. This individual will be responsible for managing a select group of accounts – ideally suited to someone working in a commercial team who has been waiting for an opportunity to manage accounts and provide the highest level of customer service.   At Westland Insurance you will enjoy working in a vibrant supportive team environment.

The Opportunity:

Are you committed to a career in the commercial insurance business sector? Do you thrive in a busy, fast paced environment?  In this role you will be responsible for  

  • Managing accounts, processing renewals, identify opportunities to cross-sell and offer new coverage
  • Delivering exceptional client service resulting in high level of retention
  • Submitting underwriting information as required, follow up to ensure timely action can be taken on quotes and existing policies
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through timely communication via phone, letter, email and in person
  • Providing support to clients through the claims process
  • Collecting premiums and coordinating with Accounting on outstanding accounts receivables


Here’s what you bring:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Insurance Broker Level 2 License
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of Commercial Insurance
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, an active listener
  • Ability to explain complex information in a simple manner
  • A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Adaptable when priorities change throughout the day based on client needs
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion are important qualities
  • Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
