Westland Insurance Group Ltd has a position available for a Telephone Adjuster to join our growing Claims Team in South Surrey, BC. This is an exciting role for an individual with superior customer service and a proven track record of investigating and settling property claims.

The Opportunity:
 

  • Are you detail-oriented and enjoy providing excellent customer service? Do you love to work in a fast paced environment that are results driven?
  • Investigate personal lines property insurance claims with insureds, third parties and other related parties in order to obtain facts and information
  • Review facts, policy coverages, expert reports to make decisions on coverage, value of claim and settlement.
  • Manage and direct Property Repair Vendors to ensure best practices are being followed for property restoration, repair and replacement, and ensure that costs are in line with services provided
  • Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other related parties to a claim.
  • Responsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping all related parties informed of the claims process and status
  • Ad-hoc additional tasks as needed

 

Here’s what you bring:

 

  • 1-2 years of property adjusting experience
  • Good knowledge of personal and commercial property insurance policies
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment, and a strong team contributor
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion are important qualities
  • Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job.
