The Best eBusiness Practices Program
The Internet has added a new dimension to the way you should develop and enhance your relationships with your clients. It has created new buyer expectations, new markets, new threats and new opportunities. Insurance professionals who understand the technologies driving Internet-based business and who adopt effective eBusiness practices can thrive at the expense of others who ‘just don't get it.'

In an era when banks and financial institutions of all stripes are relying less and less on their physical plant to service their clients, the next battleground for the loyalty of the premium paying customer will be the Internet. To survive let alone prosper, you must learn to compete in this arena. Much of what worked in the past will work in the future but much will not. Knowing the difference will distinguish victor from vanquished.

The Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia recognizes these challenges and now offers to its members an intensive, online program -- Best eBusiness Practices.

Program Outline
The Best eBusiness Practices program consists of five online modules. As you work through the material and assignments, you will construct a website to display aspects of a strategy and business plan you will develop during an online business game called "Agile Agencies v. Old World Brokers.” Along the way, each of the 5 core modules will grant you 12 hours of Professional CE credits. Completion of all 5 modules will also earn you an IBABC Diploma in Best eBusiness Practices.

Module 1

Insurance Professionals – Competing in the Internet Economy

Module 2

The Technologies Driving eBusiness in the Insurance Sector

Module 3

Supplemental online modules are also available to be taken separately for additional information and CE credits.
