New awards recognize CAIB excellence
CAIB means recognition. It’s the key that opens doors in
the insurance brokerage industry. The Canadian Accredited Insurance
Broker (CAIB) designation is administered by the Insurance Brokers
Association of Canada and is offered in each province and territory
through provincial/regional broker associations. The CAIB courses
have been developed by brokers, for brokers.
A CAIB designation not only gets you to the next levels of provincial
licensing, it’s a recognized professional credential anywhere
in Canada that your career may take you. CAIB behind your name helps
peers and clients realize that you are a business professional with
good technical knowledge of insurance products and services.
High marks in each of the four CAIB courses means recognition,
too. Thanks to the generous support of these industry friends, there
is now an award for the top mark achieved in each CAIB course in
a calendar year, and one for the best exam results in all four.
The Can-Sure Underwriting Recognition Award provides $500
for the student who achieves the highest mark on CAIB 1 exams written
during the previous calendar year.
The top CAIB 2 student also receives $500, thanks to the Pat
Anderson Agencies Recognition Award.
The AMAC Consultants Recognition Award honours the top
CAIB 3 student with $500.
The Ken Speirs Recognition Award provides $750 for the
CAIB 4 top mark.
In addition to these awards is the $500 Ken Underhill Award
which is presented to the CAIB graduate with the highest average
of all four CAIB courses combined.
The awards, which include a plaque, are presented each year at
the IBABC’s annual conference.
Now is the time to start thinking about registering for your next
CAIB course. Please register early to avoid disappointment. Go to
the CAIB section for
information on course times and options.
